Since its foundation in 1979, Scientific & Medical Products (SciMed) has been a highly successful distributor of laboratory and process equipment, exclusively representing a number of leading manufacturers in the UK, Ireland, France and Europe.

We are a distributor for Spectro Scientific, one of the world’s largest suppliers of oil, fuel and processed-water analysis instrumentation and software.

Spectro offers a range of instruments dedicated to key tasks in the measurement of engine and machinery monitoring and reliability characteristics. These include the renowned SpectrOil family of oil and fuel analysis spectrometers. Industry clients include petrochemical, mining, transportation, oil & gas exploration and power generation companies as well as commercial testing laboratories.

SciMed employs a team of highly-qualified product specialists, together with a strong support group. We have an applications laboratory for sample trials and product demonstrations as well as a test facility for the assembly, service and repair of equipment at our main base near Manchester.

We continue to grow our product range with new suppliers added when a complementary technique or technology becomes available.
