Business Development Manager, the Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology, Dublin Institute of Technology
Dr Annaik Genson is the business development manager at the Centre for Research in Engineering Surface Technology, Dublin Institute of Technology (CREST DIT) in Ireland as part of the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Network since 2014.
CREST DIT provides a range of professional technical services and expertise in corrosion control, materials surface characterisation and development of novel surface coating solutions for a range of industries from Irish SMEs to multinationals. CREST is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited national approval laboratory for many Irish government bodies including the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Office of Public Works, National Road Authority and the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
Following the completion of two master’s degrees of Materials Science and Solid State and Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Rennes 1, France in 2001, Annaik completed a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Electrochemistry from the Grenoble Institute of Technology, France in partnership with Pechiney Centre of Research of Voreppe. She then moved in Ireland into the Materials Surface Science Institute at the University of Limerick as a research officer. In 2008, Annaik joined the Embassy of France in Ireland, where she was in charge of the enhancement of the scientific cooperation between France and Ireland.
