GETTING TO DUBLIN – BY PLANE
Dublin Airport is served by 43 airlines with direct scheduled services to 110 destinations. Particularly well served are almost every European city, and major North American centres. Most European destinations are within two hours’ flying time of Dublin.
Paris CDG, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt each have multiple daily connections to Dublin.
The Bus Eireann X7 coach service departs from Dublin Airport approximately every 2 hours and stops at Kilkenny Railway station. The journey time is just over 1 1/2 hours.
Irish Rail operate a number of daily train services from Heuston Station, Dublin to Kilkenny. Check Irish Rail’s website for timetables.

GETTING AROUND DUBLIN
An extensive public transport network serves Dublin. This includes intercity trains, the DART, Dublin Bus services and a light rail network (LUAS). Airlink is an express service to and from Dublin Airport and Aircoach is a privately-run 24-hour dedicated bus service connecting a number of city centre hotels and locations with Dublin Airport.
VISAS AND PASSPORTS
All nationalities visiting Ireland require valid passports. Visas are not currently required of EU nationals, EFTA nationals, or USA, Canadian or Australian nationals. Information on nationalities requiring a visa may be obtained from any Irish Embassy or Consulate or Irish Tourist Office.
Please note that it can take 6 to 8 weeks to process a Visa Application and early application is recommended. Please also note that the Irish Organising Committee, or its agents, cannot accept any responsibility in connection with Visa Applications and the normal cancellation policy, for registration fees and hotel deposits, will apply in the event that a delegate is unable to attend the convention due to late submission of their visa application and/or rejection of same.
